A love for nature and desire to create art have been with me for as long as I can remember, and I was drawing the things I delighted in observing as soon as I could hold a crayon. Being deeply affected by the beauty that I see, I seek to retain and recreate those feelings in my studio. Simply put, that is my artistic process – emotion, observation, and composition. A balance of softness and detail are important and deliberate as I aim to maintain an elegant contemporary style in my paintings.

For much of my life I enjoyed a long and successful carrier in Ohio as a mural artist and decorative painter. The work was full of variety, very rewarding, and left me with valuable experience in composition, color harmony and aerial perspective. With a growing desire to return to fine art, I moved to Colorado in 2011, became self-taught in oils and began to find my voice in those landscapes. Now I’m thrilled to be in the amazing Lake Superior region for a new chapter filled with new inspiration.
